Romeo & Juliet Meets Physics

Romeo & Juliet
Publication Design Project
Exploring the bard's work and the theories of light in physics, I have combined passages from Romeo and Juliet and certain physics laws behind light. Combined with the changes of the moon to show both time and the shift between the acts, we can explore how physics works together with the story of Romeo & Juliet.

To contrast the different between the two families, I have matched the Capulets to the ultraviolet rays while the Montagues are infared rays on opposite sides of the spectrum. As Romeo and Juliet both meet, the center of the book glows a purple/red. At the ending, the two families are pulled together with the death of their children.

To address the physics, in quotes such as "She Doth Makes the Light Burns Bright" we learn about the theory of White Heat. In similar ways we learn much about physics through the passages in the play that refer to light.
